Since 2005 the Bidwell Junior High School Foundation has funded over 150 staff requested classroom projects totaling over $63,000. The majority of our funding is based on the generosity of the Friends of Bidwell donors which includes former and current staff, students, parents and community members. We appreciate the support of the Chico community which enables the Foundation to continue our mission to improve and enhance the educational opportunities for Bidwell Junior High School students.
The mission of the Bidwell Junior High School Foundation is to provide resources for the enhancement of the academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular learning opportunities for students at Bidwell Junior High School. The Foundation is an independent organization separate from Bidwell Junior High School. Our motto is “Helping Students Pursue Success.” Our goals are twofold: (1) to support students directly by providing supplies and materials necessary for success and (2) to support teachers and staff in their efforts to provide the best learning experience for all Bidwell students. Bidwell Junior High School is designated as a Title I school because it serves students from traditionally disadvantaged populations, including foster youth, homeless, and children of parents with little or no college education and/or low socioeconomic status.
